First of all the decision has to be made whether excavation material is offered from a construction site or demanded for a production process or if depositing volume is offered.

For an ideal utilization of the software excavation material suppliers and customers (comprising landfill operators) need to insert the following parameters:

• Project details need to be completed by suppliers (where, when, how long and which kind of material will be offered)
• Requirement details need to be given by customers (where, when, how long and which kind of material will be needed)
• Physical/technical, chemical and mineralogical material properties need to be specified by the offering and demanding party in order to find the appropriate material
